Standards, ethics and operational commitments

Code of Conduct

All personnel of TRISAC LIMITED are responsible for upholding and conforming to the high standards of ethical behavior and business conduct.

Conducting business in an ethical manner and in accordance with industry best practices is the most important commitment Trisac makes to its clientele, employees and the host communities.

Customer Satisfaction

The company business survival policy is anchored in the belief that the only path to business growth is customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery. Accordingly, TRISAC LIMITED has put in place a relationship management programme that ensures customer feedback and remediation through customer continuous process improvement.

We believe that strategy and operations must converge to create value at the customer interface. Customer satisfaction through superior value mix is the basis of existence of Trisac Limited.

CASHES Policy

The management of TRISAC LIMITED, in view of the sensitive nature of work in the Oil and Gas Industry, states the following CASHES Policy:

  1. Management is fully committed to the administration and enforcement of CASHES standard in all our operations.
  2. CASHES is as important as any other aspect of our mainstream business operation; it must be given priority attention and is a line/sectional responsibility.
  3. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and their colleague safety at work sites.
  4. We shall observe all laid-down safety at work and environment in all the statute books of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  5. Safety will not be compromised when carrying out any activity. The safety and health of our workers, protection of the environment and security of workers and equipment must be accorded priority attention in our entire work site.
  6. The company will respect the culture and tradition of the host community and involve itself in community affairs as much as is practically possible. A significant portion of the work force on site will be from the host community.
  7. Enough resources will be set aside for CASHES management in the company.
  8. Regular training of staff on various aspects of CASHES management will be accorded priority attention at all times.
  9. We shall encourage and motivate employees by recognizing good CASHES performance through CASHES awards.
  10. Adequate disciplinary action will be taken against employees for flagrant violation or regular breach of CASHES rules.
  11. Work will not commence until all CASHES issues are satisfied. Every employee should report to their supervisor if they believe that any act or condition is contrary to the company CASHES policy.

Community Affairs Policy

It is our policy to establish and maintain cordial and healthy relationships with our host community. The company shall:

  • Co-exist and co-operate with communities to achieve common Company / Community objectives.
  • Maintain an open communication channel with host community leaders and youths.
  • Carry out all work activities with damages to the community environment reduced to the barest minimum.
  • Inform communities of job operations on their land, obtain work permits and ensure safety of field crew and equipment.
  • Employ unskilled labour workforce from the host community.
  • Respect and adhere to all norms and traditions of communities in areas of operations.
  • Assist host communities in education and other self-help development projects that improve standards of living.
  • Make available site clinics to members of host communities in cases of emergency.

Health Policy

TRISAC LIMITED considers the health of its staff of paramount importance at all times. The Company shall ensure this by:

  • Employing the services of retainership clinics to care for the health of staff.
  • Employing a qualified registered nurse to attend to staff in the office and field camps.
  • Ensuring all employees have undergone physical health examination prior to working.
  • Ensuring medical fitness of cooks and all food handlers catering for staff in the field camps.
  • Ensuring proper placement of first-aid boxes at accessible locations known to all personnel.
  • Training CASHES and safety officers on administering first-aid.
  • Ensuring proper medivac operations are in place.

Environmental Policy

TRISAC LIMITED shall execute all projects with minimal adverse impact on the environment based on the principles of sustainable development. The Company shall:

  • Integrate all environmental considerations into business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess and manage environmental risks associated with operations.
  • Ensure that wastes are properly segregated and disposed.

Transport Policy

TRISAC LIMITED plans journeys towards safe and timely execution of projects. The Company shall ensure that:

  • All drivers and vehicles shall have current and valid driving licences, registration and particulars.
  • Drivers must obey all traffic regulations to ensure safety of self, passengers and vehicle.
  • All movement or travelling must be logged and monitored.
  • No conveyance of personnel is permitted in open trucks or machinery.
  • Travelling after 18:00hrs during operations is prohibited for safety and security of staff and equipment.

Security Policy

It is TRISAC LIMITED policy to ensure the security of staff, contractors, third parties and assets during all operations. This will be ensured by:

  • Appointing a security officer to oversee all security matters.
  • Recruiting camp security personnel from host communities.
  • Enforcing and maintaining a high information security standard.
  • Opening a security hazard register and holding weekly preview meetings on security matters.
  • Access to site, base and fabrication locations being granted only to those eligible.

PPE & Alcohol/Drug Policy

TRISAC LIMITED places a high degree of importance on the safety of all employees:

  • Jobs are planned for safe execution without injury, lost time incident or fatalities.
  • Field crew members are equipped with the appropriate PPE required for safe execution of their job.
  • Staff are enlightened on the importance and use of PPE through safety briefings and CASHES meetings.
  • Consumption of alcohol during working hours is strictly prohibited.
  • The Company prohibits the use of drugs not prescribed by a physician.
